Dancer

Leg warmers flop and fold Embracing tender ankles Adored by suitors Ready to heal with bouquets And accolades. Balanced, extended, Moving off air, Like flowers, forever stretching Kicking up relevé Like the aromatic main floor of An old department store at Christmas. Their limbs like flowers, Forever fragrant.

Beautifully penned! There is so much advice to parents in here, but done in such a terrific way. Thank you Kjerstine.

You have set the scene admirably and honestly, and you are right about "not a word to be uttered". The reverence was captured of every moment like this one.

Robin, it always makes me smile to see how completely in love others are with these delightful beings that somehow know which one to follow home.

Nicely done. I can feel the pain here, and the confusion as to how to proceed.

"myself is lost to me" - if I had a nickel for every time I felt that, I would be too rich to talk to people. Nicely penned, Tiffany, as always.

This is a subject not talked about often enough, it should be respected and revered as you have done in this wonderful poem, Lovie.
