Dance With Me
Will you dance with me?
I saw you standing alone.
The music is inviting.
Dance with me.
I’m waiting for my father.
He’s bringing me a drink.
He will want to know where I’ve gone.
My dance card is full.
There is no one here I’d rather dance with
You’re the one I’ve watched all evening.
The other girls are faded orchids compared with you.
Tear up you dance card.
I don’t know you name.
I owe others my time.
They wait for me.
My father will soon be here.
Just one dance that’s all I ask.
Make my evening complete.
Up to now it’s been so dull.
You’re exciting, please dance with me.
