Dance With Me

Dance with me,
 it may seem silly,
  don't you hear the music?

There it goes again
 playing softly in my head.
  Surely it's a dance-able song.

Am I wrong?
 Can't you play along
just pretend you hear the melody.

It's wonderful and loud and soft
two step, waltz, tango and mashed potatoes.
  You don't remember, do you?

Put some music on,
 for real this time,
so I could dance with you again.
