Dance For Him
Dance for him
She wished there was no tomorrow
Because yesterday the music stopped.
When love took its last living breath
And became a memory with his death.
The roses bloomed with sweet perfume
Upon his grave, a newfound place.
Where tears will rain and it is safe
For all her thoughts to be embraced.
She must now bring magic,
Move mountains in the way.
Live with all the words, she never got to say.
There is silence lingering, dreams that end
When she wakes without her closest friend.
So, she must make music and dance for him.
As he would want because he knows she can.
She takes a step and another.
Gripping gratitude tightly than ever
For every day she had with him,
Everything he gave to her.
She will never let go, never let go.
He is the tune in her song
That keeps on playing.
