Dance

An eddy of dry leaves,
Dancing in the wind 
The dance of death,
Moves to mulch. 
I've seen this falling,
Mr. Eliot, and would say
September is the cruelest month,
Making supper for Spring
Out of lives that must give way
To future appetites.
