Damsel

A  light  shines deep inside
Strong and sharp , a cloudless
sky

Never to be seen with long
tresses,
I Don't do shy submissive
glances

I abhor ' arm candy' dolled up
in heels and lace

Sorry boys, I won't ever be
your damsel in distress

 Weakness is swallowed
And spit out with rage

a trail of glitter on the floor
Shattering delicate sensibilities

 A carnivorous flower
Punching with thorns

Sorry boys, I am my own
Knight in Shining armor
