Damnation

Do not look me in the eyes
and say goodbye.
i am not strong.
i have no hold over myself.

You are the lullaby i hear 
in the distant shores.
You are the tale that`s etched on my palm.
You are the pine in my eyes,
the lamp that`s lit for me.

Thus do not look me in the eyes
and say goodbye.
i am not strong.
I have no hold over myself.
I can not live without you!

Always we think we cannot live without them, but somehow we manage to survive to write away our pain in beautiful verse like this. Very nice, k k! Love, Carolyn
