Daisy Eyes

Her world was going gray
fading away
fading away.

So young, yet she was
going blind
why oh why?

Colors of her life were
draining away
draining away.

Day after day, sigh after sigh
she cried
she cried.

Through dark days, tried to cope
she tried
she tried.

One day, she stepped outside
to find daisies in bloom.
Carefully, she picked her bouquet
and returned to her room.

She found hope, her world
would not die
would not die.

For now she had
daisy eyes
daisy eyes.

I was intrigued by the title, what a wonderful poem, Sometimes a poem is just a poem, however there are times a poem speaks to who the poet is, and I cant think of a finer compliment to say to you! :)
