Dainty Angelic Butterfly
Dainty angelic butterfly
Were you seen by that passerby?
The strings of beauty you untie….
Making the garden weep and cry.
Formed by heavenly host on high,
You flit and glide as you pass by.
Although you be petite, small fry,
You make my heartstrings simply sigh.
As you float in the sheer blue sky,
Appreciation is not dry.
For our attention you do not vie,
I pause, and think and wonder why.
Your sassy attitude says “hi”.
Though you appear extremely shy.
You captivate us, and do not try
Please don’t go. I cannot say good-bye.
