Daily Satisfaction

I shed pieces of my lonely mind,
turn it into ink and let it dry,
to feed a soul that wants to see me cry.

She awaits patiently, on the other side,
reading all but never tries,
to see, I am more than what she thought of me.

I am her happy days and I am life,
I am the never ending battle, eternal fight.
For her peace, I’ll let her fly,
though, I cry.

We could have been, so much.

Every dream and every desire,
every promise that God had inspired,
served, before us both,
we lit it all on fire.

So the sky cries, as I do too.
It’s been forty days and forty nights,
since I last saw you.
The only one I hate is time, for it is all so cruel,
could I go back for a moment, linger on a view?

My words, they no longer have meaning,
I wrote novels and pain is so demeaning.
My feelings are just as moments, carelessly fleeting,
leaving me so, so cold and broken.

I envy, every single soul that knows peace.
I’d give ever piece of me, to feel a breeze,
pass through my hair, so I could feel free.
I’m shackled to a moment.

The promise of life, a torment. Dreams, desires, love.

Chained to a rock, stuck inside a river,
the current passes and I too weak to shiver,
fall behind a world that labeled me a sinner.

The water rises and my lungs they beg to breathe,
this realm it seems is violently free.
Ignoring the will of the evil or pure,
chaos is calm and letting go, the cure.

So let the flow wash away my pain.
Let the angels eyes dry, the sky not know rain.
Let it all be alright,
let it be okay.
