With warm caresses from the sun
daffodils and crocuses sprout;
and soon, tulips start popping out.
The fight for my heart has begun;
they're both such a delightful sight,
snowdrops versus snowflakes of white.
Winter's defeated, Spring has won;
life's revival reverses death,
its presence inhaled with each breath.
A sugary sap starts to run;
an elixir for budding leaves,
allowing green to paint the trees.
And moths leave cocoons, larvae spun,
joining butterflies in the air;
beautifying a world they share.
With warm caresses from the sun,
the fight for my heart has begun.
Winter's defeated, Spring has won;
a sugary sap starts to run,
and moths leave cocoons, larvae spun.
