When the troubles of this world come crowding in on you, Here’s a song my Daddy taught me when I was only two. He said when days are darkest it will bring a sky of blue, Now it’s up to me to teach my Daddy’s song to you. <<< Chorus >>> Give a little love…. take a little love…. that’s all you have to do……… Give a little love…. take a little love…. it will last you’re whole life through Give a little love take a little love things will be so fine…… if you give a little love and take a little love……......... then do it one more time. There were times in my life when I thought that I was through, Then I’d remember Daddy’s song it always pulled me through. It had a way of fixing anything that’s wrong, My troubles all would blow away when I sang Daddy’s song. Now just like a track star I have passed the song to you, So if you have a friend who’s down you’ll know just what to do. Do the same for your friends as my daddy did for me. Teach them Daddy’s song and they’ll be happy as can be, This world would be a better place if they all knew Daddy’s song, So now I leave it up to you to pass the song along…... My Dad would be so happy if he knew what we had done. We passed his song around the world to each and every one. <<<<< Chorus >>>>> Give a little love…. take a little love…. that’s all you have to do…… Give a little love…. take a little love…. it will last your whole life through. Give a little love take a little love things will be so fine……… If you give a little love take and take a little love……........ then do it one more time........
