Daddy's Little Princess
Published: April 2016
When the King left his castle,
The Queen became distressed.
The Prince went into hiding,
And the Princess became depressed.
With nobody to talk to,
The Princess felt inclined
To tell all her secrets
To anyone who seemed kind.
But as she came to realize
Even the kindest can be cruel,
The one with the most beautiful smile
Can make you look like a fool.
So she locked away her secrets,
And her feelings too,
In a magical stone tower
That nobody could get into.
Daddy's Little Princess
Was not who she was before.
Instead of smiles and happiness,
Her life became a chore.
She gave her heart to anyone
In the hopes to feel alive,
But dear old Daddy broke it,
And it can never be revived.
