Daddy's Going Home

Every time I pick up the phone I have a sence of fear

When I see him my heart swells with love, for he is so very dear

When I see him smile as he remembers, I breath a sigh of relief

As we watch his pain It brings a sence of saddness as hearts fill with grief

Every time we look into those bewildered forgetful eyes

As we repeat once again the answer to his question our heart cries

If we wish for him to be free of pain there is fear he will be taken away

Each time I look for the answer why Is this really our fathers way

We try hard to remember some day this will all end and joy will settle in

When once again he will be with Mother & his family and a new life will begin

Now it is so very hard to see him suffer as this life slowly comes to an end

Let us please remember it is to a better place just around the bend

So we all must focus on the good things he brought into our lives

Remember his stories, jokes, and love mabe it will soften our sad cries
