Daddy Where Art Thou
daddy where art thou
will you come back again
your face stricken with worry
your body always in pain
i am here but I’m lost
my worry taken its toll
but i will dig deep my son
to the depths of my sol
daddy where art thou
will we wrestle once more
will you tickle my tummy
until i fall on the floor
our laughter will return
and the tickle monster appear
we will smile all together
my darkness will clear
daddy where art thou
please i want you right here
we are scared you will leave us
and that fills us with fear
i will never let go
you are my all your my life
i love you more than you know
there will be no more strife
daddy where art thou
i want to play in the park
but you always have reasons
you’re too tired its dark
daddy where art thou
i need your protection right now
but instead of your comfort
you’d rather have a big row
daddy where art thou
you need to show me the way
i need you guidance your care
And your love every day
daddy where art thou
why do you always look sad
you were always our hero
we wanted all that you had
daddy where art thou
we want you here for us all
your actions although not intended
are unloving careless and cruel
daddy where art thou
people see you for bad
they see a dad who is lacking
and lost the goodness he had
