Knowing That He Hurt Your Baby Girl
And Not Letting Me See
That You Knew Immediately

Thank You For Waiting
For Being Here
For Saying It For Me
When I Found It Was Time To Tell [You]

And Letting Him Live
No Matter What He Did

Brandy Megens May 20, 2009 at 7:13 AM my dad is my hero my best friend throughout all of my life my dad has been there and respectfully kept silent i totally understand where you are coming from isnt it great to have a father so wonderful that you can write a poem to him and dedicate it to him great piece

I just heard NPR's coverage of Obama's speech at Notre Dame and this has a similar resonance for me as far as subject matter. Especially 'Letting him live' and 'That is my choice'. I can't say much more though since I'm already guessing pretty wildly. Glad your father understands you. -Yoni
