Dad Why

Dad why did it happen? Couldn’t you guys work it out? I miss you very much. Dad why don’t you call? I miss you and love you. Dad why don’t you write? Is it too hard , or is it because you thought I wouldn’t read them? Dad why tell me something. Dad come and get me hold me in your arms Dad tell me you love me and want to come see me Dad why don’t you answer? Do you care or did you just give up? Dad where are you? Dad I’m waiting to hold you Dad I love you.

Angelia, this is a poignant read, often parents separate but it doesn't mean they love their children any less. It appears selfish but it may be hurtful for your father to reach out right now. Hopefully time will heal things and your relationship can be reaffirmed. Try to enjoy your life to the fullest; you can leave that opening for the (MIA) parent. Hi Angelia. I just read many of your poems and they all seem so very sad. Sorry you are going through such a rough time. This poem makes me assume your mom and dad split, and that has to be the most difficult thing in the world. I am also assuming you are a teen, and that is a difficult time, even when other things are going well. Just want to say welcome to the soup, and keep writing. Will be reading. Good luck. Love, Shar
