Dad

Dad, I miss you You have taught me so very much When I needed a friend, you taught me how to be one I skinned my knee, you picked me up, blew away the pain When I fell from a tree you were there to pick me up Dad, my dad how I miss you. When the play ground was full we played alone Tag..horse back rides...whatever made me happy Never depend on any man, that's what you told me I needed advice it was you who told me the truth Even for the holidays we didn't have very much But it was you who took a little and made a lot You were my Santa in a suit just for me You taught me to respect everyone despite their age Love will open doors that have been closed for years- I shall never forget that's what you said. Because of you Dad I am me- with a lot of pride. Dad, I miss you!
