Dad

Who says i need to change I think i already did It's supposed to be strange You can't forbid I will not stand down I will not redo i want to look like a clown without the big shoes You can intimidate so many Convince them what's right You may have a penny But i won't go down without a fight It isn't your way or the highway It is far from it Maybe, just once, youd try things my way But thats what you dont get Its like you want me to be something im not Which makes me want to argue But next to you is my spot Because, Dad, I love you

Love the poem.Had problems,or what I thought was problems, with my dad, then I realised, all that time he was helping me.I found out about two years before he died and really regret that, now I wonder if he really knows how much I did love him,I always loved him.Thx for the moment of rememberance.

The most important line and theme of the whole poem is in those last two lines, Cody. Good self explanation. Robert
