Depression unarms me, steals my strength,
Eliminates my joy, depletes my energy
Depression tackles my immune system
Encourages shingles, discourages me
Depression leaves me in an unnatural state
of disappointment, discouragement and despair
Depression takes over my life, and steals my happiness
Depression leaves me sad, for no apparent reason.
Depression unarms me, steals my strength
My faith is the only sliver of hope I derive during this state
My belief that things will get better, my hopefulness
Are the only things that keep me alive during depression
