Cyrus the Magnificent

Cyrus the Magnificent was flying high What a pity Cyrus had to flippin’ die When the rope on the trapeze broke, Here we buried this unlucky bloke.

It is sad to think of but remember circuses before nets when a whole family of trapeze artists would die together?

'Tis true. I never could figure why they felt they had to do that anyway. I guess so their audiences would gasp!

I'd say he was, Kim. Apparently, he was quite the swinger!

Go ahead and laugh, Michael. Epitaphs (in this sense) are supposed to be funny, or at least amusing. Totally fictional! I've enjoyed writing them ever since seeing those on the graves stones at Disney World's Haunted House. Dorothy Parker's chosen epitaph was "Excuse my dust!" Someone had put on there's, "I told you I was sick!" Think up a funny one for yourself and let's hear it!
