Cyiptic Moon

Stuck on earth when I want the moon,
His shining rays just make me swoon,
I wish I had the strength to fight,
But what in thinking is not right.

As much as he appeals to me,
I don't think we could really be,
As both of us are strangers still,
Unhappy news like a winter chill.

But I will dream of none but him,
Until the light in my eyes begins to dim,
I gave up my hope for him you see,
For the moon is not what he is to me.

Hello Katanna. I really enjoyed this rhyme, especially the final stanza. I thought I would also mention something which I would have wanted told to me, as a newer member on a writing site... we only have 200 spots for new poems and about 200 poets post daily -- so we do try to only post 1-3 poems in one day, so other poets do not get pushed off the page. I am fairly certain that you are just enthused to find a site to post your words, but I thought you might want a heads up, to keep the peace.:)
