Cyberpoetry: Cyberheist

Crime has moved from the streets to the laptop, and now it’s called cyber crime,
you can sell an ounce, a pound, a nickel, or a dime.
Anonymously find your target so no one gets hurt,
the lesser of two evils, the cyber crime perk.

Traditional crimes deployed violence and bodily harm,
but today anonymity rings little or no alarms.
The skill set is different for cyber criminals,
digital footprints and clues are minimal.

Unlimited operations on ATM withdrawals,
100 million vanishes, so throw in the towel.
Thousands of foot soldiers synchronized across the globe,
decentralized criminals, organized cyber robes.

Geography is no barrier to instantly communicate,
to cash mules Ad-hocked for the prime rate.
Newbs get used, and managers recruit,
distribute the digital loot, shutdown, move, and then reboot.
