Cuts

Cuts
It smells fresh and bloody like a new refreshment
It tastes like a new beginning that ends short
It sounds like screams for help and cries that no one hears till the end
It feels like fire to the skin, like a punishment for doing nothing but you
It looks like the start of something to end
Cuts are symphony of what life can do to you

Fifty people have read this poem and nobody said one word. I find that horrible. Nicole, it's because most would be scared of what to say or of saying the wrong thing. I will say that I understand emotional pain and how physical pain can mask deep hurt. And I can say that even though I think this is deep poetry, that I do hope you are seeing a counselor or talking to someone, anyone about your cutting. I just wanted you to know that someone cares...and is worried. Please, take care of you.

I don't cut anymore and my family didn't know about it and still don't know. Thank you. I wrote this poem when I was, but of there's a will there's a way out and I found my way out
