Cute Feelings

Cute feelings make me sick,
not with envy but with joy
and I laugh when young hearts
mistake cute love with real hearted love
and I smile when hazel-eyed girls come my way
and I push them gently away
without pay
I write about them
and they don't know it,
till the time is right
when that shoulder to cry on is no more
has gone away
has expired
aha vanished into thin air
and they cannot bear to face fear by themselves
and to you I say,
never mistake cute love
for heartbreak
and heartbreak for true and fantasy-like love.

There is truth in this and to the ones who experience puppy love it all feels so real. I guess it is good practice for the real thing.
