Cut

Just a scratch.

So sharp I barely felt it.

But deep, too deep.

The edges won't come together.

and it bleeds,

straight through the pen, onto the page

and back again.

A stitch, but it doesn't hold

Tearing at the seams

A ragged, bloody mess.

Squeeze it tight.

Don't let go.
