Curves and Corners

Curves and corners
where the mysterious life awaits
oh yes, the appealing curves and corners
that lures you forward, expectant
unlike the hooks and snags and
stubbed toe that keeps you right here
in the moment, the lull, in the pit
awaiting Divine Providence ...oh
forget that ... just sheer backbone,
to pull self up out of your mess
and dust yourself down and
pick your sorry, hanging chin up
off the ground to look dead ahead
but in the distant is that proverbial
curve or corner that never ever nears
but always in the now, now, now.
