CLOSET DRAMA
Setting: Two friends working out how to create a beautiful garment from the curtains. And planning an escape.
Characters:
Giselle (G) An innocent young woman who is a dreamer
Pip (P) A mischievous Chipmunk with wit
Dialogue:
G: This will make the greatest dress you've seen!
P: Why does it have to be forest green?
G: Oh Pip, where will we get the thread?
P: I can pull strands off your mother's head!
G: Yes my mother thinks her hair is best.
Find me a needle and its strength we'll test.
P: Oh boy! This is just the task for me.
When we've made the dress we can be free!
G: We will use the nets for fancy sleeves.
P: They have flowers on and wavey leaves.
G: It's now completed, avert your gaze
While I change. I'll wear this always!
P: That dress will do love. And it will woo love-
G: It's for my true love
And true love's kiss-
P: What bliss!
Now this...
G: Could my true love be that man near by?
P: Wave. And you'll know if you catch his eye.
G: Yoo-hoo! What a fine steed you have Sir!
P: Have you ever seen a maid so fair?
Quick Giselle, let down your ginger hair.
He may rescue you from your mother!
G: Is he my true love?
P: Yes. He will do love!
Now you must hurry - get on with this!
G: He likes my dress -
P: It's time for your first kiss!
Epilogue: Will the curtain's final draw be wedded bliss?
