Curtain

*Please bear with me. I have to write to survive and process this huge, tragic loss I just experienced. The writing may not be very good either. Please understand that I can't answer comments yet or comment on poems , etc. I will as usual, when I can. Thank you all for your comments and understanding. I pulled down the curtains I didn't want to see anymore I just lost my 3rd friend out of losses in life Without being able to say goodbye Someone I knew over 30 years, died a horrific death Rivers of tears flow, my mind feels like it's somewhere else Strength wanes, like the setting sun As I falter from numb, to anger, to grief Today turned upside down Now., I must find my way again Heidi Sands 10/3/23

I’m glad your using the catharsis of poetry. Until we process the grief, the words come down like a chaotic torrent. Your poetry community is with you in thought and prayer. So very sorry for your loss and it’s horrific tragedy. Love you, dear Heidi. May the Holy Spirit be near your broken heart to comfort you.
