Cursing the Cold of Winter

The enormous distance of your love
diminishes the closer I get to you
but my love grows

word knowledge is meaningless
when knowledge of wordless thoughts
come and go with every breath I take

you are all seasons to me
you may curse the cold of winter with my absence
but a fervent spring smiles in you

love exists everywhere
even in hearts that don’t thaw,
love is there

I know we are not close in body now
but in spirit we are one
and inseparable

My growing love
will arrive soon
to rekindle your fervent spring.
