Cursed Beginings

Born into a Burning Home What does it feel like to be born into a burning home? To feel as though you never had a chance to begin with? To be burdened and tormented from a young age? To have every attempt at change, a brighter future, and understanding thwarted by those supposedly closest to you? It feels like hell, in truth. What some don't understand is just how far-reaching the consequences of such beginnings truly are. Though fate is supposedly immutable, Hardship and struggle will forever be bound to you. You will be ostracized. You will grow to hate. You will grow to despise. You will be blind to love and compassion, for you never knew them. You will hate yourself and others. You will be consumed by despair. You will become jealous of those who cannot relate. You will lose yourself to the darkness. It will consume and manipulate you. The sad reality is that some never regain their freedom. Others willingly choose to return to it, for it is the only thing that makes sense in their miserable lives. Even if you escape, the shadows and whispers will still haunt you; You will still be tempted. You shall forever be marked— An abomination, an outcast, a monster. Cruelty and suffering are all you see, all you feel. You will succumb and become twisted. Though you may not truly be evil, You are too broken to stop yourself from falling deeper into the endless void of darkness and depravity. Reality is often more cruel and unforgiving than we choose to believe. It's sad, but such is life...
