Current Life

The days have grown long and cold
Time has aged with my soul
Uneventful
Pain stays the same
While the surroundings change

Wake up in a new place
Creatures line up in cages
Greed swallowing them whole
As people walk by with no eyes

Blinded by greed and lust
The beauty that once was
Turns to ashes and dust
A child’s innocents locked up
Starving them to succeed
As death covers the streets

'Blinded by greed and lust' is a powerful realism to our present world's dispensation.
