Curiosity Killed the Cat
Curiosity, killed the cat
I’m also thrilled to be like that
I could’ve chilled my body fat
Or simply filled the place I sat
But something got me to my feet
When I had sought to be discrete
For when I thought about defeat
I knew my doubt was not complete
I had this dance to seek and find
The true romance I left behind
To look askance for she won’t mind
Or take the chance that love is blind
I might have stayed the timid soul
Who made the game but not the goal
Who bade the heart to win the role
But never paid the price in full
Until my date was late to be
The strait of my eternity
The perfect mate to share with me
My state of curiosity.
