Cupids Arrows

Cupids Arrows
Written by Catherine Reinke

Chant our gods
“Play today
entertain us!
Amuse
away.”

All day long
up above,
contemplate mans
Folly.
Laugh
in love.

Boredom demands
our Gods be entertained.

Mans creators
have gone insane!

Perverted humor
at mans expense,
dance around, dance around,
black comic stench.

Cupids arrows, shot defiance
married bliss, their long reliance.

Isn’t it amusing to watch and stare,
cupids arrows
torment this pair?
Cry they do
its just not fair
to find each other
in love so rare.

Infected and spell bound
a tangled delight
bewitched poison cupids
Bow did bite.

These love arrows not
random are shot
but to the unwanting
 unsuspecting lot.
Love is got
such a shot
between legs hot.
Hot.
Hot ,for you is what I got
from cupids arrow
now that’s shot.
