Cupid Pulls Back the Bow

On Angel wings doves opened the heavens
with pillows of clouds on a blue canvas
Cupid drew back his bow; arrow driven
straight in my riven heart; lifetime plan was

Down on one knee and a ring in your hand
Shocked I said I will on Valentine’s Day
Tears down my cheeks what none can understand?
To walk hand in hand in the morning rays

Grandmother’s gauze cotton lace wedding gown
Bathed in the light of love a dream come true
Pearls, orange blossoms, and leaves bridal crown
Two shall become one, kneeling on church pew

Oh my love, my darling you are still mine
Tears of gladness defines our love still shines
