CUPID

Free Verse

Hello Cupid, how are you?
Did you bring your bow and arrow?
How is the mischievous and winged child of love?
Be careful as you pierce one's heart to fall in love.

Please don't aim that bow and arrow to me
I am an old man in my seventies
Don't be troublesome, don't tickle my heart
Aim that arrow to the younger ones.

Amor Vincit Omia, love conquers all
I know you're also powerful
Today is your day and you go around
Looking for someone to victimize and fall in love.

With beauties around me, let not my heart be enthralled
In my golden years, let me live a life of piece and comfort.

I've been in love so many times
My heart was pierced so my times
My heart was hurt so many times
I cried so much in the past
Stop pulling my leg, I'll report you to Venus and Mars.
