Cup Full Of Gratitude
That fruity diaphanous spoonful
pairs so well with this stack of memoirs.
Comfort food always makes you smile,
a dash of sugar a pinch of salt.
I look back fondly at my alluring past,
letting each drop nourish me with calm.
Each page part of a fabulous stack,
smiling I sip this cup full of gratitude.
Melodic isn’t always the still waters,
staccato waves build strong character.
Highs and lows you master the tempo,
learning how to pivot when you need to.
The style you create may transform,
with age it becomes a bit more refined.
Sparks of salad days remain entombed,
it’s current fantasticates a fresh twist.
I linger for just a moment in the past,
no regrets and excited for tomorrow.
My manuscript a snug time capsule,
smiling I sip this cup full of gratitude.
