Crystal Heart

Clear glass
Reminds me of
My sacred past

Harmonious tunes
Devour the silence
In the room

Tick-tock
A grandfather's clock
Strikes at twelve

Heart aches
The morbid pain
Dwells inside my soul

A little crack
On the edge of perfection
Drives me to insanity

Where all hope
Soon slowly dies
Leaving me broken

Shattered pieces
Cut into the skin
Like razor blades

A clear mind
Opens a place
Of vivid dreams

Carefully handled
No more hate
Just lasting love

Flows free
Longing emotions
Dare to be released

From the sanctuary
A precious jewel is held
That is my heart.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
