Crystal Clear Drops
Crystal-clear drops of sparkling dew
glint as day greets the rising sun.
And a sky of vergining blue
affirming that the night is through,
injects color where there was none:
a brand-new day has just begun.
Jewels of early morning mist,
glistening gems, start to appear.
And though we're aware they exist,
dewdrops are easily dismissed.
For clinging to plants Nature kissed,
drops tend to quickly disappear.
But some tiny droplets amass,
glinting like shards of liquid glass.
And like the tide that ebbs and flows,
Dawn's early light soon comes and goes.
And dewdrops start tickling your toes;
as you walk barefoot through the grass.
