Crystal Clear Drops

Crystal-clear drops of sparkling dew drip as Dawn greets the rising sun. And a sky of cerise and blue affirming that the night is through, creates color where there was none; a brand new day has just begun. Like pearls of early morning mist, perfectly-clear globules appear. Yet, wherever dewdrops exist their beauty is often dismissed, for they glow like a bride just kissed and yet, they quickly disappear. Dewdrops trickle between my toes as I walk barefoot on the grass. And Dawn silently comes and goes like a river that never flows. And yet, as these droplets amass, they glint like shards of liquid glass.

Dear Emile your gifted pen spills a rhyming beauty rich with imagery and metaphor. Coincidently, I just posted a poem for this contest too, that utilizes the same rhymes (mist/exist) in my second stanza.. What's that saying about great minds..? Best wishes for a win and warmest wishes for you, my friend.. ~Susan

Another finely-executed poem from the pen of a master poet. I loved your take on the dewdrop, Emile. For me this was one of the more difficult writes. Best wishes in Angel's contest.
