Crystal Ball
Visiting my Alma Mater
Stepped into the small garden.
Sweet memories with her
In battalion returned.
A voice spoke to me faintly
“I will grant you two wishes”.
I could think of nothing but my Grace
Who died in a fatal car accident.
Surprised but asked for first wish
“Give me back my Grace”
Saw her shadow in a tree,
She came, sat but couldn’t touch her.
She was just smoke and air.
Immediately opted for the second wish
“Let her rest in peace”.
