Crying For More

Though not a baby
 he needs this pacifier
His veins are crying out to him
 For a shot of heroine
 They must be fed
 The fix is in

He has sown the seeds of addiction
and now it's time to reap
 Having been fed, he sleeps
but he has fallen in too deep
He will not awaken from this ...
  nightmare... needles dripping....
       tears..

the needles lay scattered on the floor
but his veins will cry no more
                     ---

Lovely write. How many lives must have been destroyed with the evil of addiction? It is so pathetic.
