Cry Ye Fallen Angels

Cry ye fallen angels low your heads lay Chasing sins of heartache with each new passing day Angels decending, bring from above, Echoes of mercy, whispers of love Low you have fallen, dim shines your light Decending to earth your wings burning in flight Whispers of love shall be heard no more Mercy but an echo where you once soared Cry ye fallen angels a world of pain with each tear Chasing sins of heartache for a creator we all fear Angels decending, bring from above, Echoes of mercy, whispers of love

Really a special one Dan; the fallen angels are not talked about much but it is quite a story. You did a great write with this one!

serve in heaven or rule in hell. satan was given a place where we are as well. the circle of life revolves around the world. and thousands of souls died and rerose. not yet finding the escape. they just keep coming back, untill the end of the world.

I love the way you did your entry, Dan. A very well deserved win. You did not romanticize the fallen angel nor define him cruelly. It was just the right amount of emotion. Congratulations on your win.

Your poem has a song playing in its background of the old hymn book from my church...I love that this won first place, Dan. You took the picture from the contest and really demonstrated your writing craft well. A new fav for me! Congrats. You really earned this one. Gwendolen
