Cry of Africa
CRY FOR AFRICA
Throw me the dough to survive the jungle
The mastery of persistent i tangle
Call not away from the basin sides
Am a believer that rain of blood is near
Who will carry our lamp
For it is a travel through the forest
Never fly away my faith
For there is where my hope lives
The wail of my citizen roars
I hear the bleed of their souls
Longing for bread these miscreants promised
Yet another peck we are wooed with
Our flourish is buying offshore to shine
Making our tarry last forever
You make our offspring hustler they call it
Turning this garden to jungle
A mere contest to a competition
Even in this walk of shame ;
Your speech is preach churchy
Only for your decisions to be like taut with a head
I will call not for cry no more
Emancipation is what i await to plough our history
Naming our bastards with the tag nemesis
How long will passing by continue
Filming the rape of our spoil
They argue only for who to take next round ;
On our laxity the ignorance we embraced
Waiting always on the queue again because of peanuts
No wonder we are treated like peasants
The hate our oloriburuku politicians had showered
Another party plan we are always
Only to see our gains catering for their oyinbo brothers from another mother
I wonder how their bloodline share their identity
Sorry, i forgot we are too stupid to know when to cross the line
Stop the crying Africa ;
And bury the ignorance you bought from them
Never is a denial
Do it now , the revival that will wipe your tears.
