Crwss Cross

Cress Cross By Charles G.P. Chard 2nd. Chevra Gavri Hanita Hazaka Abir Selek 2nd What is right side up, is upside down, What is upside down, is around, One eye looks but only see’s to the left side, The other eye looks but only see’s to the right side. The center is thrown completely out of wack, For far sightedness is what I lacked, Everything must be close and near, And even then it wasn’t totally clear. Yes, it looks so bad to get things straight, And harder still to even create. For to see with this sight left me near blind, You may as well have more eyes in your head, behind. For looking around is so difficult to do, It makes you wonder what it is your seeing through, For reality is so difficult, and life is so unfair, What’s worse sometimes it gives me a scare. “ These eyes are criss cross.” Mama use to say, As she would spend hour on her knees for me each day, She wondered how I would make it through life, The unkindness of others would hurt me like a knife, . Yet my heart remained true and my life on the straight and narrow, I met life’s challenges straight on like an arrow, Nothing was going to stop me from achieving my goals, I laughed inside when people looked funny, like poles.
