Crush

I think I have a crush like nervous letters on notebook paper

Check yes or no making me feel juvenile

Singing in the car while exploring the world

Sea shells on your dresser from story book nights

Excited every day in hopes that our soles cross paths as your feet walk my direction

In your high heels, more gorgeous than art and poetry

Feeling you feel me is my favorite thing

And if we ever kiss I swear you have me singing for the rest of the day

Every time my phone lights up I hope it’s from you

I feel like I’m back in high school young, dreaming, and confused

When I hold you our bodies fit perfectly like you’re the missing piece to my puzzle

Oh the things we could do if you were mine and I didn’t have to always miss you

Dark thoughts coming to the light every time your voice echo’s through

I’m dreaming as you write me notes of feelings, wishing to be loved left on torn pieces of paper

My broken perception, she stands directly in front of me

p.s. my crush is you…
