Crush

I crush on a boy who dances in my dreams,
takes my hand, leads the way,
images are all I see.

I crush on a boy who never speaks,
he whispers lullabies in my sleep.

He has no face, shadows are all you see

He chills my body as windy mornings
in winter,
Caresses me softly as wind does
its trees.

In my dreams he is open like a river,
continuous
He soothes my crying eyes, as milk
does babies

I wake from my dreams only to see an empty end
where once my crush dreamed.
