Cruel Words
Cruel words you aimed to hurt me
Should never have caused me harm
But sadly this has happened
Causing me fear and much alarm.
The evil behind your eyes is scary
A glazed look of crazed madness.
A blank canvas of expressionless exposure
Of hate I can't address!!
What have I done to hurt you?
Why do you go out your way to cause me pain?
Why am I at your hands of suffering
And what do you have to gain?
I apologise profusely
IfI've maddened you In any way
But you must see that I'm now suffering
And that you've surely seen me pay!
Why can you not let go now
And let bygones be gone and done
What can you possibly have to gain still
What victory can still be won?
Can't you see I'm suffering
Can't you see I've paid the price?
Can't you see I've been dealt a bad hand
And the devil rolled the dice.
