Crow's Feet
Take my leave.
Wrap it green around your finger
earth in grass gone sugar smooth
It's a remembrance of tomorrow
for your finger tips to soothe.
Take my breath.
Sweep it under frost and fortune
ice and passion melt, undo
It's the start of conversation
from my countenance to you.
Take my strength.
Show me mirrors undistorted
silver shine to mercury
It's a moment I'll remember
when you showed yourself to me.
Take my tears.
Glass encase the weeping show
liquid years embrace me now
It's so tangible, this sorrow
Only you can show me how.
Take my leave.
Wrap it as a scarf of blizzards
fluffed and warmed by winter sun
It's a memory to remember
as the moment we were young.
