Crowned

Our coils grow up
To the effervescent rays of sun
Anti brittle, full body crown
What comes after is our essence, passed down.

Tales of grit embedded in curls
Built for any obstacle.
Twisted and able to endure
All that comes from the world.

Black, brown, blonde, and red
Ultimate royalty rests on top
Our heads bowing to no one
To grow we must shed.
