Crown The King of Pop

CROWN THE KING OF POP

The spotlight shines bright, the crowd comes alive,
Michael moves through the glow, amongst the jive
He glides through the sequinned lights,
"I heard there's royalty in the room tonight,"4

He belts out, " And what's a Prince to a King?"
The Prince leaves, couldn't dare to kiss the ring,
The legendary hall didn't need to pull a string,
And they all echo aloud, "long live the King!"8

Kobe Bryant rises to the occasion like airwave,
Amy Winehouse approves the king & joins the rave,
Bob Marley smoked “One love” across the sacred hall,
Nipsey nips, hustle hoisted to yield the weed's call.¹²

Biggie beams, exclams "pop culture couldn't get better",
Tupac took part in two packs of blaze, his star glitter.
Witney with whiskey witness the Houston grand award,
Aliyah, from the allay to her seat, honours her word,¹6

XXXtentacion extinguishes every fear to grace the occasion.
The crowd applauds the king & make an oration.
Awards announce our worlds, it amplify our words,
As legends come together, defying all odds.²°

In timeless elegance, their spirits resonate,
The crown will always belong to the King.
Then you realise it was all imagination,
A mere work of creativity and innovation,²4

To poetically bring back to life these fallen heroes
Whose crafts, arts, & music blasted across our windows.²6
